Jenny Yolanda's story

The city of Portoviejo was affected by an earthquake on April 16, 2016. It is located in the Portoviejo River Valley. This city is rich in its production of vegetables, legumes, and tropical fruits for domestic consumption.

Jenny Yolanda is 52 years old, married, and has two grown children who are independent. Her husband works at a public institution. They live in their own home. Jenny Yolanda manages a beauty salon in a shop that is on loan to her from her mother-in-law. She provides hair coloring, haircuts, nail painting, and a variety of other services. Jenny Yolanda works every day from 8:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M., and sometimes much later without the help of any assistants. She also sells catalog products made by Yanbal (beauty products, cosmetics, perfumes, and women’s accessories), as well as undergarments for women, men, and children of the Leonisa brand.

With this new loan, Jenny Yolanda will buy dyes and scissors, pay for the maintenance of her hair clippers, as well as acquire undergarments and makeup to sell. Her dream is to have her own shop so that she can continue the work she enjoys. She also wants her family to be in good health.
