Mary's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to buy different varieties of cereals to sell in the market, such as lentils, cowpeas, sorghum, rice, wheat, barley and millet, so she can use the profits to educate her children.

Mary's story

As the world celebrates mothers in this year’s International Mother’s Day, Juhudi cannot miss celebrating Mary (pictured above). Mary is not a first-time Kiva borrower. For the past 10 years, Mary has been actively involved in mixed farming. Because of how much she likes farming, she has even nicknamed one of her cows. Mary's primary sources of income have been milk and crops. Although she has been making a profit from farming, she has identified a “niche market” for selling cereals. The only big challenge she faces is a lack of funds.

Mary is requesting a loan to buy cereals. She intends to buy different varieties of cereals such as maize, sorghum, rice, wheat, barley, and millet to sell in the local market. The market for cereals is never a problem because the demand is always high and she plans to take advantage of that. Because of her good relationship with her neighbors, she plans to increase her customer base through word-of-mouth to reach more customers and markets. You can help this woman achieve her dreams with this loan, which will surely bring big profits. Mary is so grateful in advance.
