Manos Unidas Group's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to buy wool, sequins and other supplies.

Manos Unidas Group's story

The group has 7 members who are all enterprising women with a flare for business. They are all members of Alcom “MANOS UNIDAS”.

One of the members is 42-year-old Gabina who is single and has one daughter. She has earned her living for the last 4 years by selling snacks and drinks (sodas, cookies etc.).

She sets up in a small spot in a market where she works every day. For the last 2 years she has also earned income from crocheting sandals and shoes using wool and sequins.

In the future she would like to have her own workshop in order to produce more crocheted products which will help to generate more income.

She will use the loan to buy wool, sequins and other supplies in order to continue making crocheted products and generating more income.

Gabina is pictured at the back, second from right wearing a shoulderless top.

Gabina and the group would like to give a huge thank you to Kiva for the loan and the opportunity it provides.
