Bolt Cutter Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy eight boxes of cooking oil, eight cases of flour, three cartons of rice and four boxes of washing soap.

Bolt Cutter Group's story

Elizabeth runs a grocery shop. She is 39 years of age and lives in Eastview with her husband, who is self-employed as a builder, and two children. She has displayed a great improvement from the first loan cycle and having demonstrated proper loan use, she has increased her stocking levels by almost 200%.

Elizabeth normally specializes in basic commodities, which includes groceries like sugar, cooking oil, washing powder, drinks, washing and bathing soap, rice and mealie-meal. Thrice every week she restocks in bulk and this is because she always has fast-moving goods with a fast turnover rate.

She is a member of Bolt Cutter group, which started with three members but now has two members: Elizabeth and her friend Jane. The group took a loan recently and Elizabeth used her portion to buy eight boxes of cooking oil, eight cases of flour, three cartons of rice and four boxes of washing soap.
