Aby's Group's story

This Banc Villageois, established in December 2014, brings together these 25 women who are from the same neighborhood and share good relationships. They have benefitted from many loans that were paid back with success. Their main activity is retail commerce.

Aby, the representative of the group, is 51 years old. She is standing on the left of the photo with the raised hand. She is married and the mother of nine children, three of whom are boys. Eight of them go to school.

Aby works in small retail of various types of fruit. She sells walking around the market of her neighborhood. She buys her merchandise in a neighboring country. She capitalizes on a good experience of five years in this sector of commerce.

With her loan she counts on buying 15 mats, fabric (wax, Khartoum, and net styles) and paying customs fees and transport. She sells on credit, requiring a down payment and the balance is paid at the end of the month in which the merchandise was delivered. She gets by well without difficulty.

With her profit she will increase her savings and build up her business.
