Mele's story

Mele, 56, has eight children and 12 grandchildren. They are all living together in their owned home; there are 20 of them living in the house. She applied for her loan from SPBD as her fourth loan cycle. Male has two children currently attending school.

She's running her business of making tapa by herself. When she finishes her tapa, she sells it out at the market to her customers and some other people to earn income for her family. Mele's business is one of the main sources of income for their home. Male is confident in running her business in order to continue to benefit her family. She has a vision for the future of her business, and she will continue to apply for loans from SPBD because it's helped a lot in her business to increase her income for the sake of her family.
