Gulnara's story

The 42-year-old Gulnara is married, with four children. She has a secondary specialized education. She has been raising livestock and growing crops for over 20 years, and this is her family's main source of income. Thanks to Gulnara's hard work and her husband's help with the farm, it presently consists of five cows and 16 sheep.

In order to develop her farm further, Gulnara has applied to Bai Tushum Bank for a loan of 25,000 som (KGS), with which she will buy livestock, her aim being to boost her headcount. Gulnara plans to go on putting the income generated by the loan into developing her business by increasing her headcount, and also to do some home renovations and repairs.
