Margaret's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy high quality farming inputs such as certified seeds and nutrient-rich fertilizers to greatly improve her production and make higher profits to support her children.

Margaret's story

Special people in the Kiva community!

Margaret (69-year-old mom), an optimistic woman, has always desired to achieve. She knows that this will be possible through hard work and determination. She works hard to achieve her dreams. Margaret is married. She loves and takes great care of her family.

Margaret was born in a family where farming skills were passed on from one generation to another. She did not have any alternative way of earning an income, so she ventured into farming. Through continuous involvement in crop and animal farming, Margaret is able to provide her family with meals at least once a day.

Margaret has realized that there are very few crop farmers in her local market. She views this as a great opportunity for her to make increased profits that would go beyond meeting the basic needs of her household. Margaret feels inconvenienced by the services of financial institutions around her, especially when she is in need of an urgent loan.

She is therefore seeking the intervention of Juhudi Kilimo, in collaboration with Kiva, to help her raise capital to buy high quality farming inputs, such as certified seeds and rich nutrients fertilizers. She wants to plant a variety of crops, which she will later sell at her local market.

She thanks the entire Kiva community for their kindness.
