Yumbatos Progresando Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy aguajes (an indigenous, tropical fruit) and hens, and to fix her corral in order to raise more animals and have greater financial income.

Yumbatos Progresando Group's story

Rita is 50 years old and has three children. She works buying and selling fruits, vegetables, and hens. Fifteen years ago she started selling pigs. From there she sold aguaje (an indigenous, tropical fruit) and other fruits. Little by little she was buying more fruit in order to offer it for sale.

She buys animals and aguajes wholesale. For that reason she seek a loan from Kiva to buy animals, primarily hens. She will also buy aguajes and fix her corral to improve her business raising animals, such as chickens, hens, and pigs, among others.

Rita's biggest dream is to have a bigger business and have her own clothing business. She considers herself to be an enterprising woman. She is always working. She is a single mother, and her children have always been her inspiration.
