Vanogona Group's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support
A loan helped to restock confectioneries.
Vanogona Group's story
Orpha is a woman 51 years of age staying in Mhondoro with her husband and their two children. Orpha operates a groceries shop and she also does poultry keeping broilers in batches of fifty restocking her products from South Africa and in town. She started her businesses five years ago. She made efforts to look for the money from her friends and relatives but to no avail. In February 2019, Orpha heard about Thrive Microfinance and with her three friends formed a group which they named Vanogona. They attended the training sessions which helped them make informed borrowing decisions. The group got a loan and from that Orpha restocked confectioneries since she got a place at a nearby school to sell those items to school pupils.
