Lile's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to hire more people to help her weaving business and also buy some pandanus as a raw materials for her weaving business.

Lile's story

Lile is 50 years old and married to a farmer. She is a mother of five children and three grandchildren. They are living in their own home and two of her children are currently attending school.

She requested a loan from SPBD as her twelfth loan cycle. She runs her weaving business and weaves with a group of women in her village. She only hires women when she has enough funds from her business.

Sometimes, she faces challenges when there's a lack of materials like pandanus for her weaving. She received her loan and overcame her challenges.

When she finishes weaving her mats, she sells them at the market to earn income, helping her family's living situation and also allowing her to make loan repayments.

In the photograph, she's holding her mats in her house where she does her weaving. Lile has a vision for the future - she needs to run her business to earn more income to rebuild a new house and educate her children.
