Sokhna's Group's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to buy fabric, soap and varied merchandise to resell.

Sokhna's Group's story

Having been established in the neighbourhood since May 2013, this "Banc Villageois" groups six women from the same village who have good links of parenthood, neighbourship and solidarity. Their main business is trade. They have reimbursed over 10 loans without a problem.
At 60 years old, Sokhna is the representative, standing on the left of the photo with her hand raised. She is married and has nine children: four boys and five girls, all grown up.
Sokhna's business is selling fabric, soap and various products. She stocks up in bulk in the capital and resells to individuals from her home. She has over 30 years of experience in this area.
With her loan she plans to buy 30 pieces of fabric, 20 boxes of soap, bags and pairs of shoes which she will resell hoping to earn a good margin. She manages despite the strong competition.
With her profits she will save with the "Banc Villageois" and help her husband with the family expenses.
