Salamata's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to pay for beans, rice, and oil for her restaurant and to save money to build decent housing.

Salamata's story

Ms. Salamata is a 57-year-old woman and the mother of five children, aged 25 to 37. She has three persons to support. For twenty years, she has been a restauranteur. Her experience, respect for her customers, and affordable food are great advantages for her, thus her business is doing well.

Now on her 6th loan cycle at the microfinance institution YIKRI, she is asking for a loan to purchase 10 sacks of beans, 5 sacks of rice, and 10 containers of oil for her restaurant. The purpose is to stock up with enough supplies to satisfy her customers. She plans to use her earnings to reinvest in her restaurant and to save money for building decent housing.
