Manuela's story

Manuela is a 48 year-old woman. She is married with five children and they live in a rural community outside Honiara, the capital of the Solomon Islands.

She has a garden where she grows melons, cabbages, cucumbers and tomatoes that she can sell at the market to earn a living. She has been in this business for two years.

Manuela has requested a new loan to help her to pay for additional seedlings, fertilizers, pesticides and labor costs to assist her make a new garden to increase her production.

She plans to use her profits to meet her family's financial needs.

She joined SPBD in 2014 to gain access to financial services for her business.
