Mama's Group's story

This group of 19 women belongs to a banc villageois that was inaugurated in April 2008. These women are supportive to each other and energetic, they help each other naturally. They all get along well and their main business is trade. Salimata, who is raising her hand on the picture, is the representative of the group. She is 39 years old, married and the mother of five children, including three girls. Salimata has been selling bananas, fish, lemon juice and palm oil for two years now. With this loan, she is planning to buy 20 kg of bananas, one basin of fish, one can of 20 liters of lemon juice and one can of 20 liters of palm oil. Her earnings will be used to pay for her children's school fees and to cover her personal needs.
