A loan helped to buy more stock of charcoal to sell.

Selina's story

Selina is a married woman with four children. She describes herself to be honest. She operates a rental unit where she sells charcoal. Selina has been involved in this business for five years. Her business is located in a good area and her primary customers are locals from South Coast Kenya.

She describes her biggest business challenge to be inadequate working capital. Selina will use the loan of 100,000 Kenyan shillings (KES) to buy more stock of charcoal to sell. Her business goal is to have more stock of charcoal within five years.

This is Selina's third loan with SMEP Microfinance Bank. Previous loans were repaid successfully. She will use the anticipated profits to buy more stock of charcoal.
