Geofrey's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy farm inputs such as fertilizers to enable a determined dad to grow more tea crops, reap maximum profits, and increase his business.

Geofrey's story

This is Geofrey (pictured in his tea crop farm), who is courteous, dedicated, responsible, and hard-working. He is 37 years old and raises animals and grows tea crops, which is work that he began due to economic necessity. On his farm, he grows tea and also keeps dairy cows. He earns additional income from a personal business.

Geofrey requested a loan from Juhudi Kilimo. He will use it to buy farm inputs such as fertilizer to improve his tea crop. This will enable him to grow more tea, reap maximum profits, and increase his business.

Being a dad and accessing funds in Kenya, especially around Kericho, is very challenging. But Geofrey feels relieved knowing there are institutions such as Kiva that help enterprising dads like himself. He is always working to improve his family’s living conditions. His biggest dreams are to become independent and to independently support his family, to secure his children’s future.
