Sheryl's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped develop our marketing, build out inventory, and fund one month of rent in a work space.
My name is Sheryl Benford, I was born and raised in Chattanooga, TN. I was raised by a great, single, mother of three girls. We grew up in low income projects but my mother always made sure that we didn't have low income mentality. She always pushed us do, be and look our very best at all times; to strive for excellence. Growing up I would watch my mom sew clothes from Simplicity patterns and would give her creative ideas on how to make the clothes more fun and colorful; she didn't listen :-) I believe this was the beginning of my love for colors and design. I worked 22 years in Corporate America and I enjoyed it for a long time. One day I began to re-evaluate my life and realized I desired a more fulfilling future; a future doing something that I love to do. At the age of 49 years old, I was sick and tired of going through the motions, doing something that was stressful and unfulfilling, so I walked away. Overtaken by fear and insecurities I began to paint, cry and pray for direction. I will never forget the day my prayer was answered, the fear was gone and I began to pursue my own business, TOR-SO BEAUTIFUL. I am currently in the beginning state but I am very optimistic about what's to come during the new chapter in my life.
