Elena's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to buy more quantities of toiletries, rice, soda, chips, canned goods, charcoal and other grocery items.

Elena's story

Elena of Intramuros did not go to High School because her parents could not afford her study. She started working at a very young age to help sustain her needs and to be able to help her family. She is now 65 years old and married to Pampilo, 65 years old and works as a driver. Elena has a general store that she has opened for 10 years and she sells different grocery items per piece and per sachet.

To have additional capital, she would like to ask for financial assistance that will be used in buying more quantities of toiletries, rice, soda, chips, canned goods, charcoal and other grocery items. She hopes that her business will keep on growing and have more products to sell. She also prays to have a better living condition.

Elena is a member of the Center for Community Transformation and meets weekly with her fellowship partners to share her life’s testimony and business experience with them. She also draws strength and inspiration from the fellowship as well as listening to the Word of God. A fellowship group is composed of 15 to 20 members. The fellowship groups gather each week to study the Word of God, build social relationship among partners, and pay Micro Finance loans.
