Carmen Valeria's story

Carmen is 27 years old. She maintains a common-law marriage. She has one daughter who is 5 years old. Her husband is unemployed.

She lives with her in-laws in Manta, one of the most important cities for business and tourism on the coast of Ecuador, where they offer exquisite gastronomy and some beaches, hotels, and other points of interest for tourists.

She is a very determined woman who is always searching for the way to be able to make her own economic resources and thus be able to support her husband with the household expenses.

It is for that reason that she wants to open a small stationery shop in her parents’ store, where she wants to sell school supplies among other items in order to satisfy her customers’ needs.

Previously, she sold chicken by the pound. She lasted 5 years with this activity, but because of personal reasons she had to quit. For her, this loan is very helpful because she will be able to open her stationery shop.

She will use this loan to start to stock her stationery shop. Her dreams are to have her own home and that her business grows progressively.
