Miriam's story

Miriam is 40 years old and a single mother with a small son who is in school. Miriam and her little buy live in a house in Anticrético in the province Cercado, located in the city of Tarija, Bolivia.
Miriam is a quite hardworking woman who is very enterprising and is always seeking her little boy's wellbeing. She fills the roles of mother and father for her little boy very well.
Miriam has had a store in her neighborhood for 6 years, selling staple goods for the families such as noodles, sodas, bread, and other items.
She works many hours a day: her work day begins at 7 in the morning and ends at 2 in the afternoon and she works Tuesday to Sunday.
Miriam is requesting a laon from Fundacíon Sartawi with the goal of buying new items to diversify her products a little.
