Gloria Maricela's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to buy pigs, vaccines, and other supplies.

Gloria Maricela's story

La Sequita is part of the canton of Montecristi. The main business activities involve agriculture, including raising pigs and chickens. This community, in general, is very poor.

Gloria is 27 years old, married, and has four children (ages 10, 8, 6, and 3) who are in school. She is also seven months pregnant. Her husband drives a dump truck for a living. They live in their own home. Gloria is in the business of raising and selling pigs. She and her husband travel to different areas to buy large pigs that are of good weight. Gloria then sells them live or butchered by the pound. On Saturdays and Sundays, her mother-in-law helps her with selling and weighing the meat. She has been in business for about three years and is doing relatively well. This business allows her to generate income from home.

This new loan will be used to buy pigs, vaccines, and other supplies. Her dream is to have a large pig farm and to see her family continue experiencing good health.
