Emmanuel's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped make my dream come true, create at least 5 jobs and get ahead with my family.
From a very young age, I went with my neighbor, who had a coffee farm and my uncle who also had a coffee farm, to collect coffee beans. Meanwhile, at the age of 13, I started distributing newspapers, my mother Eligia Ortiz, who also made the effort to get up at 5 am to take me. At age 16, I dropped out of regular school, to finish my 4th year on Saturdays, and to work from Sunday to Friday, in a cell phone sales company, where I generated money on commission. Then with my brother, who already had tools and transportation to clean yards, we started cleaning yards and gardening. We could not keep giving away our work (we were paid very cheap), and we were left with nothing. I tried studying in two different universities, it was an effort I could not afford and my body would not resist, where sometimes, I had to walk from one town to another to get to my home and also working in a gas station from 10 pm to 6 am, to be at the university from 7am to 3pm, without car. I started studying Bartending, and the next year, I studied Local and International Cuisine. From that time, I have worked in different experiences like Hotels, Restaurants where I have had the opportunity to be Manager and Bars. And that is how I have got what I have achieved. I am currently professor of Bartending and president of Sangria Verde Corp. My dream is to be able to help others do what they like.
