Maguette's Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to pay for chicks for poultry farming.

Maguette's Group's story

This group, composed of 21 women, is from the 'banc villageois' set up in May 2013. The women live in the same neighborhood and are united by ties of kinship, community, and solidarity. They have a good mastery of loans and have always paid them back on time. Their main work involves commerce.

Ms. Maguette, aged 57, is the group's representative standing at the right in the photo with a hand raised. She is the married mother of one girl, who is in school. Ms. Maguette runs a poultry business she operates at her home, where she has a chicken coop. She purchases supplies at the central market in town. She has one year of experience

She is going to purchase 50 chicks, 6 sacks of chicken feed (two each of: starting, developing, and finishing) and to pay for vaccines. She has no problem selling the chickens at a good profit after two or three months. Her business is renewed every three months.

Her earnings are used for bolstering her business, managing her needs, and saving money within the 'banc villageois’.
