Pharis's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy a biodigester to transform his farm into a sustainable business.

Pharis's story

Pharis is worried about the bad impact the chemical fertilizers have on the quality of his vegetables. Moreover, he is conscious that buying fossil fuels is a waste of money that he could invest in other things or dedicate to the well-being of his family.

He decided to purchase a biodigester. The biodigester will considerably reduce his carbon footprint by transforming his cows' manure into renewable energy and biofertilizer that will enable him to obtain considerably higher yields of vegetables.

Having an organic farm is an added value, it gives farmers a label for identifying fresh and healthful products.

This loan represents 64% of the full price of the biodigester; the remaining part was covered by a cash down payment and a government subsidy.
