Ndeye's Group's story

This group was established in May 2015. It is composed of women in solidarity. They are very energetic and active mainly in commerce and in fattening livestock.

NDEYE, who is standing at the far right in the photo with a hand raised, is 50 years old, married, and the mother of eight girls. For years, she has been active in the commerce of dried and smoked fish as a business of her own.

With this loan, she plans to purchase baskets of smoked and dried fish in bulk, which she will then sell retail in her village at affordable prices.

With the profits she will earn, she envisions meet the needs of her children by buying food and clothing for them, as well as covering their school fees. She also envisions reinvesting in her business.
