but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to pay for sheep.

Aminata's Group's story

This group is composed of seven women sharing strong ties of solidarity and mutual assistance. The women live in the same village and have jumped at the chance to join a women’s group when it was set up in town in April 2017. Their main work involves fattening livestock.

Ms. Aminata (standing at the far right in the photo with a hand raised) is the group's representative. She is 40, married, and the mother of four children, including two boys, aged 4 and 12. She raises livestock and enjoys experience fattening them as a business of seven years.

With this loan, she envisions buying sheep, which she will fatten for at least five months before reselling them. With the profits, she plans to save some money and to meet the needs of her children.
