A loan helped to restock groceries for her shop.

Chandapiwa Group's story

Sandra has been running a grocery shop for close to four years now. She is a 26-year-old mother of three children. She is hardworking and believes that good things do not come easy. She resides with her family in the rural areas of Mutamba, Goromonzi. She started the business from the little savings she got from her husband. Her husband is a self-employed builder and they work hard to be able to provide for their children, especially the two still attending school.

She restocks weekly from Harare Central Business District. She sells all different sorts of grocery items, mainly mealie meal, sugar, and flour, among other items. She is also the shopkeeper who is always bubbly and welcoming.

The profits from her previous loan that she ploughed back into her business have helped to extend her shop. Business management training has been significant for her business as she is now able to have some good records, which has been so helpful for her, especially in determining profitability.

Sandra used her portion of the loan to restock groceries for her shop.
