Cyt Group's story

Resilience and perseverance are what Clara portrays. She is a self-driven lady who is determined to succeed. Clara is a mother of three children and is 31 years old. She resides in Budiriro at her relative’s homestead.

Clara is in the business of tailoring, and started her business in 2001. Her husband is self-employed as a mechanic. Clara came to know about Thrive in 2018 through some clients who testified about the positive change in their lives.

Clara is a designer, and works at a local shopping mall where she rents a room. She situated her business in her residential area as she was commonly known in the area and familiar to a lot of people. She sews a variety of clothing, and mostly tailors using Java material, an African printed cloth. With the loan that she got, Clara managed to purchase a sewing machine and an overlock machine. This has had a positive impact on her work, since she previously shared machines.

Clara states that sales have improved and she has ventured into selling a variety of clothing material and shoes, which she restocks from Zambia.
