Elmira's story

Elmira is 46 years old, married and has four children. Elmira has a secondary, specialized education. She is hardworking. To provide additional income for her family, she has been involved in animal husbandry and farming since 1996. Today, her farm contains four cows, 20 sheep and 4.73 hectares of land, where she grows beans and clover. To continue growing her business, Elmira requested a loan in the amount of 150,000 som (KGS) from the Bai Tushum Bank to buy a dairy cow in order to increase her livestock headcount and volume of organic milk. Elmira plans to use the earnings from the loan to further develop her business by building a winter livestock barn and to open a food store.
