A loan helped to stock more groceries and chicks.

Rufaro 2 Group's story

Fiona is a married mother, aged 40, staying in Eyrecourt with her husband and their four children. Fiona is into a cross- border trading and poultry business, which she started 10 years ago with the intention of helping her husband give their children a better life. She restocks her groceries from South Africa and sells them in Mbare.

Customer taste and preferences were changing, therefore there was need for additional funds to finance the change in customer taste and preferences so as to avoid losing customers to her competitors. She then decided to join Thrive Microfinance for a loan.

Fiona has managed to pay for her household upkeep, her children’s fees, and household improvement from the profits she generated from her loans.

With the current loan, she managed to stock more groceries and chicks.
