Gladis Ondina's story

Gladis, age 33, is married and has five children. She lives with them and her husband in the Corquin municipality in Copan. The neighbors in this place greatly admire her for being a very hard-working and tenacious woman.

Ever since her children started school she saw the need to increase her income. Therefore, three years ago she decided to start her business of growing coffee. She sells the product at the market in the area. Gladis currently rents the land that she cultivates.

She has had three loan cycles with the institution. She is requesting the amount of 10,000 lempiras to pay to rent the land, to buy fertilizers, and to pay for the labor to weed the crop, and to have a better harverst. Her dream is to invest in her own piece of land to cultivate, to have better production, and to have better earnings.
