A loan helped to buy animals.

Benkola Group's story

Ibrahima is a farmer, who is 34 years old and lives in Mali. He is the one holding the cow's leash [in the photo]. Married to one woman, he is a father of five children, aged from one to 10 years old. One of the children are in school.

During the dry season, Ibrahima raises cattle as a secondary job. He has done this for six years. Since a young age he has loved raising livestock, just like his father.

He takes out loans through RMCR so that he can buy more cattle. He buys his animals from the MOPTI animal markets. Then cattle traders buy the animals from him at his home.

He makes an estimated 27,500 francs CFA each cycle for each head of cattle.

His dream is to build a permanent house for his children and ensure their education.
