Eva's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase more phone handsets, phone covers, and clothing to sell.

Eva's story

Eva is a 34-year-old entrepreneur who lives with her husband in the Kilosa district of Tanzania. She has her own business selling clothes, phone accessories, and mobile money services.

With her first Kiva loan, Eva was able to start her business. She used the profit she earned to support her siblings with basic needs.

Eva is requesting another loan to expand her clothing business and become a banking services agent for CRDB Bank. She plans to use the profit she earns to support her family's basic needs.

Eva will repay the ‘social interest’ on her second loan by volunteering two and a half hours per week as a CAMFED Learner Guide, facilitating sessions from CAMFED’s My Better World Program with students at her local secondary school. The program is designed to help build students’ confidence and critical thinking abilities. She will also conduct home visits to learners at risk of dropping out of school and connect them with the support they need to stay in school.
