Blouse Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to restock 100 birds of broilers and 6 bags of feeds.

Blouse Group's story

Raising broiler chickens is becoming popular in Zimbabwe as a way to find extra income. High profits associated with broiler chickens made Locadia venture into poultry business. She is a married woman aged 60 and she is a mother of 5 children.

She keeps broilers in batches of 150 birds per batch per month. Since she is still keeping broilers at a small scale her target market is those in her neighborhood. And as someone who is fighting for growth she also took a further step and approached some small restaurants in Bindura where she supplies some broilers.

Locadia is a member of Blouse Group which is based in Mhembere village. The group is made up of 4 members and it is now in its 2nd loan cycle.

Locadia used her share to restock 100 birds of broilers and 6 bags of feed. She also extended her fowl run since she is keeping broilers at a large scale. Her fowl run has a capacity of carrying 150 birds and she wants it to have a capacity of at least 400 broilers.
