Discovery Group's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to stock cell phone chargers, phones, and more vegetables to sell.

Discovery Group's story

Tatenda is a 32-year-old lady selling fruits and vegetables to improve her standard of living. She is a married mother of three children, residing in Goromonzi. She approached Thrive Microfinance in 2017 with the hope of rejuvenating her business. She applied for the group loan with the other members of Discovery Group who practiced the same line of work. She initially started with a small capital and built up a small stall at a shopping center in Goromonzi.

The more profits she retained, the more she saved and invested in the business of selling cell phone accessories. She targeted the cell phone business because most people in the rural areas are not advanced in technology. The business created opportunity to the society as it provided easy communication that in turn assisted people to connect with each other.

The group has recently taken another loan and Tatenda used her portion to stock cell phone chargers, phones, and more vegetables.
