Fati's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to buy five bales of weaving threads and save money to take care of her children's schooling and open a shop selling traditional "pagnes".

Fati's story

Fati is a 34-year-old married woman who has five children, three of whom go to school. She is a trader and a weaver. She has been weaving good-quality traditional "pagnes" (brightly-colored pieces of fabric which are popular in West Africa) at home in one of the town's neighborhoods for more than nine years now.

She is on her sixth loan cycle with Yikri and is requesting a loan to buy five bales of weaving thread so she can make up a large quantity of traditional pagnes to satisfy customer demand. She is intending to use her profits to reinvest in her activity and also build up her savings, so she can take care of her children's education and open a shop selling traditional pagnes.
