A loan helped to pay for her son's medical expenses.

Kadir Group's story

Zahra is a 32-year-old Syrian refugee mother of two children and the featured borrower of Kadir Group loan consisting of three Syrian refugee women who stood hand-in-hand to improve their conditions.

Zahra is working hard in agricultural fields all the day in bad weather to cover her children's expenses and maintain all their needs.

Recently, her son was sick and in need of an expensive treatment that she could not afford due to her limited income. So, she got together with Fatima and Awash to acquire a loan from Kiva's field partner Al Majmoua and pay for her son's medical expenses.

The sacrificing mother wishes her son a speedy recovery and hopes she can increase her income to cover all her children's expenses, especially the medical needs.
