Greidys Karina

Ciénaga de Oro, Cordoba, Colombia / Agriculture

Greidys Karina's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy pigs, pig feed, and capital for the purchase of supplies for making plates of fried foods (flour, meat, potatoes, condiments.).

Greidys Karina's story

Greidys, age 30, was born into a very poor rural family which made a living working at farm chores in order to sustain the family. That's where she learned to work in agriculture, which gave her the possibility to have her own business raising animals, which she now has in the municipality of Cienaga de Oro. She also has a business preparing food.

She will invest the loan in the purchase of pigs, feed for the pigs, and it will serve as capital for the purchase of supplies for making plates of fried foods (flour, meat, potatoes, condiments.) This will provide continuity to her work and she will have a much more productive harvest, so as to meet the challenges presented by the high costs of supplies and the instability of the sales prices of agricultural products.
