Joana's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy additional inventory for her general store to meet customer demand.

Joana's story

Joana, 37, is modest, married, and enterprising. She has a very good understanding of and experience with running a general store. She has been running her own store for many years. The store is located in an excellent spot that is easy to find and that attracts customers every day.

Running her business has made Joana become more independent because she can be responsible for herself and also help support her family's every day's income.

She would like a loan of $500 through Kiva's field partner KIF to help improve her store. She plans to use this loan to buy additional goods such as biscuits, noodles, sugar, and coffee to sell.

Joana hopes to expand the size of her business in the future as the result of her investment and wants to thank lenders for the opportunity.
