Nedra's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped me secure a commercial kitchen, buy a laptop, inventory, and supplies my fresh food delivery business.

Nedra's story

My name is Nedra Banks. I am a single mother of two. I started this journey with one mission in mind. Feed one million families. I figured if McDonalds could feed the world hamburgers and fries , I could give them something even better. The choice of fresh, healthy food. I grew up on the eastside of Detroit, we were not rich, but I ate three times a day. No person should have to worry where there next meal is coming from. From my own personal struggle, to the one I see on a daily basis, I want to provide communities that don't have access to fresh produce and groceries to at least have the OPTION . I won two rounds in a program Motor City Match that helps small business in Detroit go from start up o open, I am currently in the process of looking for a permanent brick and mortar. I would like to open food hub locations in low income, food stricken areas in the city, and expand nationally in the next few years. The Grubbank will offer freshly prepared meals, on a weekly and daily basis, provide deliveries to senior citizens, and families with little or no transportation, partner with food delivery partners to increase sales and presence and convenience to the consumers. Develop relationships with Local farmers, and markets to provide local fresh ingredients at an affordable cost.
