Famata's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy more cream and toothpaste to sell.

Famata's story

Famata is 35 years old. She lives with her husband along with three children ranging in age from 6 through 11 years. All of her children are currently in school and live at home. Famata went to school until fifth grade.

She earns her living by selling cream and toothpaste. She learned how to sell from her mother, and she started to sell with some earnings from her partner. Famata has been managing her sales for nine years now. She uses a car to transport supplies to her business site. She faces no problems with her business.

To increase her business, she applied for a loan through BRAC Liberia, a Kiva field partner. With this loan, Famata will buy more cream and toothpaste to sell in order to meet the needs of her customers. She likes her business because it makes her an independent woman. In the future, she wants to own a bigger business. She is grateful for the financial help BRAC and Kiva have rendered.
