Benkadi Group's story

Mamy is 41 years old and from Mali. He is a good character, seen smiling and holding the ox in the centre of the photo.

He is married to two women and father of seven children: one boy and six girls aged 1-14 years, including one daughter going to school. Very bold in her breeding work, one of his wives sells condiments to meet her basic needs.

With nine years of experience of livestock work, he borrowed 250,000F to buy an ox and pay for its feed and care. He will receive a half-yearly profit of 75,000-80,000F, depending on the period.

Mamy uses his profits to improve family living conditions in terms of health, food, clothing, shoes, and the schooling of his children. Mamy is often faced with deadly animal diseases despite veterinary care.

In the future, he plans to build a large enclosure for his animals to improve his work and the living conditions for himself and his children.
