Jaafar Group's story

Fatima is a 54-year-old Syrian refugee and a married mother of five children. She is the featured borrower of a group loan, Jaafar Group, who runs her clothing retail business in her home.

She is thinking of improving her economic and social status through buying clothes for her business. She needs to increase her income in order to help her husband in covering their house expenses. She got together with her friend Walaa to acquire a loan from Kiva’s field partner Al Majmoua to buy a new collection of clothes to sell in the summer.

Fatima hopes to increase her income in order to open her own clothing shop and have many branches in different countries.
