Dilcia, 47, is a single mother with three children, and they live in the town of Santa Cruz de Yojoa, in Cortes. She is engaged in making and selling tamales. She conducts her sales on-foot and by order, and she has been engaged in this activity for three years. She is requesting her fifth loan of 15,000 Lempiras to purchase supplies such as vegetable oil, cornmeal, spices, banana leaves, pork, chicken, rice, butter, tomatoes, sweet chili, and potato as well as to pay labor costs for making the tamales. This loan will help her increase her sales. She plans to expand her business.
