Siré's Group's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to buy fabric, handbags, palm oil, baobab fruit and hibiscus.

Siré's Group's story

The "banc villageois" of which this group of three women is a part, was established in April 2008. These members are principally involved in small trade of various products. Having found themselves in the same precarious situation some years ago, they came together through this "banc villageois" in order to improve their living conditions. Mariama, her hand raised in the photo, is the representative of the group. She is married, 43 years old and has two children - a girl and a boy. She has been in commerce for over 10 years. With this new loan, she plans to buy fabric to sew clothes that she will resell in her neighbourhood and outside, 40 handbags, 10 cans of palm oil, 5 sacks of baobab fruit and 2 sacks of hibiscus. The profits will be used to buy animals and to renovate her house.
