Setsomi Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase the ACE 1 cook stove, to save money spent on fuel and gain access to electricity for extra lighting at night and charging mobile devices.

Setsomi Group's story

Masekoai is a 49-year-old, hardworking self-employed woman, married to a 53-year-old gentleman. She is a tailor and also imports clothes from Durban is South Africa to sell in her village. Masekoai lives with her husband and their three grandchildren and four other family members in a multi-bedroom house.

Masekoai spends LSL 370 every month on cooking gas, paraffin, and candles. There is no electricity in her village. She says she struggle to get her mobile devices charged and has to travel a long distance to the charging station in the neighbouring village, which also requires her to pay a charging fee of LSL 100 per phone every month.

Masekoai and three other ladies in her village say the ACE 1 cook-stove is going to help them save a lot of money that they spend on fuel every month. The ACE 1 clean cook-stove is biomass and solar powered.
