Teriya-Ton Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy sheep to sell on, enabling him to support his family.

Teriya-Ton Group's story

Seydou is a 42-year-old Malian. He is married and a father to five children, three of whom are in school; they are aged between 2 and 16 years old. Having never gone to school himself, Seydou is a farmer by trade and has been rearing animals for nine years. He hopes to expand this livestock business and make it his principal source of income.

He is pictured here holding the ewe. He is taking out the loan from RMCR to buy ewes and rams. He buys the sheep from the surrounding villages and sells at the local market. Each sale cycle can generate a profit of 30,000 francs CFA which allows him to pay for his children's education, health care and clothing.

In the future Seydou hopes to generate enough profit to develop his livestock farming business and teach it to his children, with the support of veterinary professionals.
