Fatoumata's Group

The banc villageois that this group of five women is a part of, has been inaugurated since March 2002. They are principally active in the sales of diverse products. Madame Clémentine, who is at the right of the photo and raising her hand, is the representative of the group. She is married, 35 years old, and the mother of four children, of which one is a girl. She has evolved in this business activity for several years. With her new loan, she plans to purchase one bag of oysters and 100 kg of dried fish that she is going to sell at the local market. The profits are going to serve to help her husband take care of the daily expenses, but also the school fees and the healthcare of the children.
