Elizabeth's Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase hybrid seeds and fertilizer to improve her maize harvest.

Elizabeth's Group's story

Elizabeth, who appears in the photo, is often described as an extremely hardworking individual. She is 40 years old and has six children. As a group leader, she is representing six farmers from Mumias District, Kenya.

Elizabeth is returning this season to work with One Acre Fund again because she will be able to earn enough to feed her family, which is why she decided to join OAF in the first place back in 2016. She says that she is happy to have made that decision because she has been able to consistently feed her family. This has improved her day-to-day life significantly. Elizabeth will use her profits this season to invest in a business.

Her group will use this loan to purchase seeds and fertilizer for planting a total of 2.25 acres. Some of the group members will also be purchasing a solar light. As part of this loan, the group will also receive a total of four solar lights.
